The tradition of chamber music was first established in the late 1700s and early 1800s by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven and has the following traits:
Being born a twin, I started singing duets at a very early age, and even before I could talk. Instrumentally, I have played many a solo performance and also played flute in large orchestras. That in-between place? The small chamber group? THAT is where I honed my musical skills, and the ultimate musical challenge of listening and expressing self through music.
When I moved to Camano Island in 2019, I brought my background of teaching, performing, and writing for chambers groups with me. Once here, I began teaching flute, piano, and ukulele as well as meeting other musicians to play in small ensembles. My passion was now my business in Small Chambers.
I also bring to Small Chambers my own performance groups, playing accordion in one, flutes in another, and sing & play piano in another! Check out Fidddle n Squeeze, The Elle Flute Trio, and Lisa Linda Shine!
Perhaps you are looking for music to play with YOUR small chamber group. I have a catalogue of more than 200 tried and true arrangements that will give you so many options. From brass trios to string quartets, and Beethoven to Brahms, there is something for everyone.
I have been fortunate to continue speaking this amazing language of expression, in many different ways.
Here is how it all began . . .
